Sandbox
Sandbox base URL, test data, limitations, and resetting sandbox data.
Overview
The sandbox environment provides an isolated API for development and testing. Use the sandbox base URL, separate API keys, and pre-seeded test data to build and validate integrations without affecting production data.
Sandbox base URL
Use https://sandbox-api.dmtr.ai/v1 as the base URL for all sandbox API requests. Authentication uses sandbox-specific API keys created in the sandbox section of the dashboard. Production keys do not work in sandbox and vice versa.
Test data
Sandbox is pre-seeded with sample positions, participants, and entities. Use these for exploration and integration testing. Test data IDs and structure are documented; you can also create and modify data via the API. Data persists until you reset the environment.
Limitations
Sandbox has rate limits and storage limits appropriate for development. Some features (e.g., live webhook delivery to external URLs, certain compliance checks) may be simulated or disabled. Check the sandbox documentation for the current list of limitations.
Resetting sandbox data
You can reset sandbox data to the initial seed state via the dashboard or API. Resetting clears all created and modified data; use this to start fresh or reproduce a clean state. Reset does not affect your sandbox API keys or webhook configuration.
