Pull Inventory
Query inventory via API, filter by vehicle class, parse results, and next steps.
What you will build
You will query the DMTR inventory (positions) via the API, apply filters such as vehicle class, and parse the results. This quickstart builds on the First API Call and introduces filtering and pagination.
Prerequisites
- Completed First API Call
- API key with
positions:readscope
Steps to query inventory
Call GET /positions with optional query parameters. Use vehicle_class to filter by spv_llc, fund_lp, direct, etc. Use status to filter by active, pending, transferred. Use limit and cursor for pagination. Example:
curl -H "Authorization: Bearer $API_KEY" \
"https://sandbox-api.dmtr.ai/v1/positions?vehicle_class=spv_llc&limit=50"Filter by vehicle class
Pass vehicle_class=spv_llc for SPV LLC interests, vehicle_class=fund_lp for fund LP interests, vehicle_class=direct for direct holdings. Combine with other filters as needed. See the API reference for full parameter list.
Parse results
The response includes data (array of Position Objects), has_more, and next_cursor. Iterate through pages using the cursor. Each position has entity_id, asset.vehicle_class, asset.issuer, transfer.transferable, and more. Map to your internal models or display logic.
curl -H "Authorization: Bearer $API_KEY" \
"https://sandbox-api.dmtr.ai/v1/positions?vehicle_class=spv_llc&status=active&limit=10"{
