Architecture Overview

System design overview for the DMTR platform.

Overview

DMTR is a platform for private market ownership, transfer, and lifecycle management. This document provides a high-level system design overview. It covers the main components, data flow, and architectural decisions that shape DMTR.

Core components

DMTR comprises: Registry (authoritative ownership record), Rights Engine (transfer and consent logic), Identity Graph (KYC, AML, accreditation), Intent/IOI (transfer workflow), Ingest (document extraction), and API/Webhooks (integration surface). Each component has defined boundaries and interfaces.

Data flow

Data flows from documents and cap tables (ingest) into the registry. The registry feeds the Rights Engine and Identity Graph. Transfer intents (IOIs) are evaluated, matched, and executed. Events flow out via webhooks. The Position Object is the canonical representation at each stage.

Design principles

The architecture emphasizes: single source of truth (registry), event-driven updates, API-first integration, and extensibility for new vehicle classes and workflows. See Data Model and Position Object for details.

ℹ API-first design

Every operation in DMTR is available through the API. The dashboard, MCP tools, and partner integrations all use the same API surface.
