Observability

Metrics, logging, and tracing for DMTR platform and integrations.

Overview

DMTR provides observability capabilities for monitoring platform health and integration behavior. Metrics, structured logging, and distributed tracing help you understand performance, debug issues, and meet SLOs.

Metrics

Platform metrics cover API latency, error rates, throughput, and resource utilization. Metrics are exposed through the observability API or integration with monitoring tools. Custom metrics for your integration may be available; contact support for details.

Logging

Structured logs capture request/response metadata, errors, and operational events. Log retention and access depend on your plan. Integrate with your logging stack for centralized analysis. Sensitive data is redacted in logs.

Tracing

Distributed tracing tracks requests across service boundaries. Trace IDs are returned in response headers for correlation. Use tracing to diagnose latency issues and understand request flow through DMTR.

Request correlation

Every API response includes X-Request-Id and X-Trace-Id headers. Include these when contacting support to help diagnose issues quickly. In high-volume integrations, log these IDs alongside your application logs for end-to-end correlation.

✓ Proactive monitoring

Set up alerts on error rate spikes and P99 latency increases. Use the rate limit headers (X-RateLimit-Remaining) to detect when your integration is approaching limits before hitting 429 errors.
