KYC/AML Setup
KYC requirements, AML screening, configuration, monitoring.
Overview
KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) are core compliance requirements for private market positions. DMTR tracks KYC/AML state on positions and participants, integrates screening providers, and monitors verification expirations.
KYC requirements
KYC requirements vary by jurisdiction and product. Typical elements: identity verification (ID, address), beneficial ownership, source of funds, and purpose of account. Configure required KYC fields per entity type or program. Positions may be gated by KYC status (e.g., cleared, pending, failed, expired).
KYC and AML status fields are provider-backed. Each participant stores kyc_provider (e.g., persona, alloy), kyc_verification_id, kyc_verified_at, and kyc_expires_at. The Rights Engine checks both status and expiration — a cleared verification that has passed kyc_expires_at is treated as expired.
AML screening
AML screening checks participants against sanctions lists, PEP (Politically Exposed Persons) databases, and adverse media. Integrate with screening providers via DMTR or your own pipeline. Screening results update compliance status. Configure screening frequency (onboarding, periodic, event-driven).
Configuration
Configure KYC/AML rules in the DMTR dashboard or via API. Set required verification levels, screening thresholds, and escalation paths. Define which positions or workflows require cleared status. Configure notifications for pending or failed checks.
Monitoring
Monitor KYC/AML metrics: clearance rates, pending items, screening hits. Set up alerts for anomalies or backlogs. Integrate with compliance dashboards and reporting. Maintain audit logs of verification and screening events for regulatory review.
