Burgiss Integration

Burgiss portfolio management system integration for Dark Matter.

Overview

The Burgiss integration will connect Dark Matter to Burgiss for portfolio reporting sync and position reconciliation in private markets. This document describes the planned integration specification. Burgiss is a leading provider of private capital data and portfolio management solutions. The integration will enable sync of positions and support data mapping between Burgiss and Dark Matter schemas. Capabilities and implementation details are subject to change as the specification is finalized.

Portfolio reporting sync

Portfolio reporting sync (planned) will support sync of positions from Burgiss to Dark Matter for reconciliation and registry updates. Sync patterns may include batch (scheduled) and API-triggered modes. The specification will define sync frequency, conflict resolution, and data freshness requirements. Burgiss fund, commitment, and valuation data will map to Dark Matter Position objects with appropriate transformations for private markets.

Data mapping

Data mapping (planned) will define how Burgiss entities (funds, commitments, valuations, cash flows) map to Dark Matter Position and Participant objects. Burgiss private capital schema includes fund structures, benchmark data, and performance metrics; mapping will handle these structures. Field-level mapping will be documented in the specification. Custom mappings may be supported for organization-specific configurations.

Configuration

Configuration (planned) will include Burgiss API credentials, sync direction and frequency, entity mapping rules, and optional filters (e.g., by fund, investor). Configuration will be managed via the DMTR dashboard or API. Sandbox configuration will support testing. Configuration validation will ensure required fields and mappings are complete before sync activation.

Limitations

Limitations will be documented at release. Anticipated limitations include Burgiss API rate limits, supported asset classes and fund structures, and sync latency. Burgiss product variants may have different API capabilities. The specification may be updated as limitations are clarified during development.
