Portfolio Review Prompt
Pre-built prompt template for portfolio review workflows.
Overview
The portfolio-review prompt is a pre-built MCP prompt template for reviewing a user's portfolio. The LLM requests this prompt with variables (e.g., portfolio IDs) and receives a structured prompt to guide the conversation. The template ensures consistent portfolio review flows across clients and reduces prompt engineering for integrators.
Template
The prompt instructs the LLM to: (1) fetch portfolio and position data, (2) summarize holdings by portfolio, (3) highlight transferability and encumbrances, (4) suggest follow-up actions (e.g., transfer feasibility, compliance check). The exact text is provided by the MCP server when the prompt is requested.
Variables
| Variable | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
portfolio_ids | string[] | Yes | Portfolio IDs to review |
participant_id | string | No | Filter to participant's view |
include_recommendations | boolean | No | Include AI recommendations (default true) |
Pass variables when requesting the prompt from the MCP server.
Example output
When rendered, the prompt produces text like: "Review the following portfolios: [list]. For each, summarize positions, transferability status, and any encumbrances. Suggest next steps for the user." The LLM then uses this as a system or user message to drive the conversation.
Customization
The template is fixed by the MCP server. Customization is limited to variable values. For fully custom prompts, use the client's native prompt system and call DMTR tools/resources directly.
