Lifecycle Events Resource
event:// URI scheme for fetching lifecycle event data via MCP.
Overview
The event:// resource exposes Dark Matter lifecycle event data to MCP clients. Lifecycle events track changes to positions over time (e.g., transfers, encumbrances, distributions). The resource is read-only; clients fetch events by ID or list them filtered by position, portfolio, or time range. The LLM can use this data to answer questions about position history and audit trails.
URI format
event://[event_id]
event://?position_id=...&portfolio_id=...&from=...&to=...&limit=...&cursor=...Without a path, the resource lists events. With an event ID in the path, it returns a single event. The base URI is event://.
Query parameters
| Parameter | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
position_id | string | Filter by position |
portfolio_id | string | Filter by portfolio |
from | ISO8601 | Start of time range |
to | ISO8601 | End of time range |
limit | number | Max results (default 50, max 100) |
cursor | string | Pagination cursor |
All parameters are optional. Time range uses created_at by default.
Response format
The resource returns JSON. For a single event: the full event object (id, type, position_id, payload, created_at, etc.). For a list: { "data": [...], "next_cursor": "..." }. The schema matches the DMTR API lifecycle event object.
